Scheduled meetings of the LPS research community

The LPS research community meets for the purposes of decision-making and long-term planning at least once a year, and has done so since 2000 (2000, Tokyo, Japan; 2001, Verbania, Italy; 2002, Durban, South Africa; 2003, Padova, Italy; 2004, Copenhagen, Denmark; 2005, Larnaka, Cyprus; 2006, Prague, The Czech Republic; 2007, Budapest, Hungary; 2008, Monterrey, Mexico; 2009, Thessaloniki, Greece; 2010, Belo Horizonte, Brazil; 2011, Berlin, Germany; 2012, Seoul, Korea). Other meetings are convened when possible, coincident with major international conferences.

In addition, Team Conferences have been held in Melbourne (2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2009, and 2010), followed by a Team Retreat at Wilson's Promontory National Park (2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010), subject to the availability of funds. The video records of these team conferences capture something of the collegial and communal spirit that has keep the LPS Community active and productive since its inception in 1999.
