2010 LPS Conference / RetreatPhotos (coming soon) Videos Drenched, Just a short walk and more Wombats 2009 LPS Conference / RetreatClick to view PhotosVideos Scheduled meetings of the LPS research communityThe LPS research community meets for the purposes of decision-making and long-term planning once a year, and has done so since 2000 (2000, Tokyo, Japan; 2001, Verbania, Italy; 2002, Durban, South Africa; 2003, Padova, Italy; 2004, Copenhagen, Denmark; 2005, Larnaka, Cyprus; 2006, Prague, The Czech Republic; 2007, Budapest, Hungary). Other meetings are convened when possible, coincident with major international conferences. The 2008 meeting will be held in Monterrey, Mexico, on July 14 and 15. In addition, a Team Conference has been held in Melbourne (2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005), followed by a Team Retreat at Wilson's Promontory National Park (2003, 2004, 2005), subject to the availability of funds. In 2008, funding has been obtained to continue this practice for a further three years. The 2008 LPS Team Conference and Retreat was held from December 3 to 12. 2008 LPS Team Meeting: Monterrey, Mexico, July 14 and 15In 2008, the LPS Team Meeting was held in Monterrey, Mexico, on July 14 and 15, immediately following the ICME11 conference. At this meeting the videoPortal data networking system was officially launched. 2007 LPS Team Meeting: Budapest, Hungary, August 27 and 28The 2007 meeting of the LPS Research Community was held in Budapest over one and a half days: August 27 and 28. The meeting was attended by representatives from Research Groups in Australia, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Japan, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. In addition, Niels Brouwer from the Netherlands attended most of Day One as an observer.
2006 LPS Team Meeting: Prague, the Czech Republic, July 23 and 24The meeting was attended by representatives from Research Groups in Australia, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, Japan, Norway, The Philippines, Portugal, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. In addition, interested researchers from Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and Taiwan also attended the meeting.
